    Loosely translated.

Mono-cylinder. Four valve. DOHC, electronic injection PGM-FI. About 19 HP at 8500 rpm, with very good torque at low rpm.
Low maintenance has been imperative during the design process. 3.5 U.S. Gal tank == 160 miles range. C-ABS.

For a split second, i thought the '90s bike was the one we were getting! This is obviously a competitor to the ninja 250. Should make for some good battles in the WERA "E" classes.

That blue/black version on the wiki page looks quite tasty!

Me too, and I'd buy one if it was.

I found a CA plated one recently, but I'd want to ride the piss out of the thing just to hear it spin, and parts support for a Japan only model would be a real pain. It's bad enough for gray market bikes that were common in most countries, like the RD500...

Are these not the ones also imported to Canada?

I had phun riding phobe's a couple years back :D
  8. ptlcb1 Member

The CBR125R is the one imported to Canada.

Oops. That's the one I was thinking of.

    Honda VFR 800
:hmm: Perhaps there will be some trickledown once the 125GP class switches to these engines. It should be interesting to see what comes out of in the next couple years. Hopefully they can be had for ~$4k.

This is a great looking entry level bike. Thumbs up for Honda!

Any one else think it resembles the VFR1200?

Definitely very similar look to the bodywork, tank, and exhaust.

 At first glance, I was psyched, until I realized it's just a single cylinder. The name CBR250 threw me off, and had me thinking it was the above mentioned bike. Lame.

But, that being said, still a good looking starter bike for those who don't want a small cruiser to learn on.

It does resemble the big VFR. The CBR125R resembles the CBR1000RR. Whats up with that??? A CBR that looks like a VFR...:hand:

2011 MCADX-Grattan Pint Sized CBR IROC Challenge Match Racing! 10 equally prepped CBR250Rs. All attendees names go into a hat. The first 10 names drawn, are in the first series of heat races. 3 races per series. These heats are 5 laps with points assigned to your finishing position. These 10 then draw for which colored bike they will ride. Just before lunch, on day 1, those 10 will have their 3 lap warm up. Grid positions will be based on who guesses closest to CBRVFR's weight when fully geared up. There will be a 5 minute break between each heat, to make any suspension adjustments, to do some stretching, or to calm the stomach cramps from the laughter! The second set of 10 racers will have their go just after lunch, with grid positions determined by who guesses closest to how many CBRVFRs it takes to equal the height of one seamus. Day 2 repeats for the next 20 on the same format. Grid positions will be based on different questions. Feel free to make suggestions! The top 10 point earners are in the final which will be at lunch time on Day 3. During the heat races, there will be bonus points for number of passes made, but you can also lose those bonus points when you get passed. The overall winner gets a pint sized bottle of his/her favorite spirits!

I was told by edit: my feeble imagination that their next generation of RR's take a couple of styling cues from the vfr :hmm:. I don't see how they could do the female anatomy bit on it…but I'm guessing this little bike is loose interpretation of how it will look.
    No pun intended.
