    Uh.. I'm doing the math. An 1198RS and an 1098R doesn't equal 140K.:dunno: And then I think if I were going to buy 2 bikes why would I combined them? Why not make one track and one street?

    I don't think the guy was really riding stupid. Loose gravel, cold tires.. that right there is why I don't street ride. Besides the fact I'd end up getting a ticket after for reckless driving..

    Really? I thought the "RS" was less than the old "R"? I don't even see it on their site, however that new 1199 Panigale looks pretty freakin' sweet. I try to avoild 'there' these days.. keeps me from wanting to spend money.

    Exactly, I've done, and will do more stupid things in my life...

    I like his motorcycle budget better than mine. :)

    He probably paid about 12k for those forks. Kinda hard to tell which Brembos, but probably another $5-6k there.

    All said and done, that was not a bad crash. When you consider he went against the Gard-rail, he could have spent a whole lot more money just trying to walk again, so a couple of bikes, even if they're $140,000 it's not that bad. Plus most of the damage seems mostly cosmetic unless he bent something shiny.

    Video definition of a SQUID! Look at the speed of the guy before him. Then look at the speed that Mr. Duc was carrying. Too much speed, and closing too fast on the guy in front of him. My guess is he started to drift wide, panicked, and squeezed those Brembos as if he was going into Turn 1 at Valencia! Look at where he was in that lane when he locked up the front. Thank God, the real damage was probably to his wallet and not his ass or someone elses. Two words for ya squiddy...TRACK DAY!!!

    At first I thought maybe that was from him locking the rear but since he lowsided and the rear tracked with the front maybe he didn't. Also if you pause at :29 looks like the center of the tire is shiny before he went down.
