It's just you. You need different boots.

Didn't figure any of y'all had hoof rot issues though

Sounds like ill fitted boots to me. In 40+ years I never got any toe blisters. In 30 days in the Air Force I had several because of ill fitting boots.

:plus1: No blister problems on the feet. Callouses on the hands, yeah.

Nope. Not only are you boots no bueno; your socks probably need to be addressed, as well. What type of socks are you wearing?
  8. abtech Believe

He probably just needs to change them every once in awhile . . .:D

No, he doesn't mean the ones you're wearing at work with your suit and dress shoes. :whisper:

    Those are black ones.

I think some are white Under Armor brand. White socks except the brown bottom from walking on the pits...

Been looking at Sidis but cannot find some to try on local. In a moment of foolishness I did not see if they had my size at Indy when I talked to the Sidi reps.

In addition to getting new boots, do yourself a huge favor and get some merino wool socks. Seriously, they are fantastic at heat and sweat management. The UA ones are probably all cotton or cotton-poly blend. You're asking for blister city with those. Merino wool; believe the hype.

Even for extreme heat? Something like smart wool socks?

Apparently not. Maybe I will try a set and then someone will come to Grattan that sells Sidi boots so I can try a set. Unless I get defunded...

Aren't SIDI's known for being wider? Or is it that they offer them in wider sizes as well? Anyway, I'd try those. Uh, and no way I'd be wearing wool socks in the summer, little less in AL.
  19. BobcatSig They call me "Auger."

Exactomundo. Thin ones, preferably. I wear Smartwool for nearly all athletic activities; including trail running in the summer heat. Pair them with a well ventilated boot and you'll be amazed at how much more comfortable your feet will be at the end of the day.
1.) +1 for Sidi's width. I have Hobbit feet and they are about the only boots I didn't need to size up for to fit comfortably.
2.) We're not talking your old school, rag wool socks here. Seriously; get yourself a good pair of thin, technical Smartwool socks. I'll wait ...

I was reading on the motorcyclegear.com that they have a more open toe box. so its not that they are wider, just more toe room.
