Umm...what's with those wheels? Looks like a photoshop blunder.

I'm sure it will look better in 3-D, but /blasphemy on/ this side view isn't very attractive in 2-D. the tank/airbox covers look like a lobster claw reaching for your balls, or more likely, your wallet. The front is better, but nothing to get excited about. MV Agusta has little to worry about from the standpoint of aesthetics, AFAIC.
Side cover fasteners are numerous and tacky, too.

Better to name this the 1198 Pringle.

Hopefully the exposed exhaust pipe is Ti, and I really like that Tricolore paint.

Like. But, I think the Apillia RSV4 is hotter.

Looks fantastic IMO. I especially like the "peek-a-boo" rear cylinder head and the outboard spring and shock. Great form with enough visible function to remind you that it's a motorcycle.

I really like it, and think it has a lot going for it. Love the tiny tail and sexy lines, yet with the design that doesn't conceal everything. I still like the RSV4 a bit better, but I think this is a definite step in the right direction for Ducati.

I love it! Gimme gimme. And I already have leathers to match. Maybe next year will be better for me and you will see me bring one to Grattan. :)

This sentence definitely caught my attention.
Other than the special livery it does sound like what I've been asking for. At dinner tonight I told my wife about it and she said, "that sounds like what you've been asking for. In two years you should be able to find a nice used one."

I'm finally home, getting to see the pics larger on the computer and watching the videos. I like it. I may still like the overall lines of the 848/1198 a bit better but I really like how clean the tail section looks and agree with phobe on the view of the rear shock and head. I'd still rate it much better than the MV F4. I just can't get on board with the front end view of the F4 and I think the front view of the Duc is absolutely HOT.

Mostly because it looked great on the S and R bikes. I'd still prefer the white/red frame combo to the Corse paint. However, I did change my wallpaper of two years to the new 1199 with the Tricolor paint job.
