Help me decide on a new paint scheme for the 03 VFR

Ok after years of abuse, I think that my bike is ready for something new when it comes to the color of it.

I've got an oppertunity to get pretty much whatever I want done to it paint wise and have narrowed it down a bit.

The bike is an 03 VFR800 I have the matching hard bags and a blacked out double bubble and a set of staintune pipes... other than that and new brake pads this spring the bike is bone stock.

So basically I've been looking at the following.

Pearl white, kinda plain, but I LOVE a nice pearl paint job, and considering the Ridgeline and the 600(and the old 1000) are all white... why not right.

old school RC30 paint scheme, I've ALWAYS liked this scheme but I don't want dave and evl to form a lynch mob...

something based on an rc45 race scheme, i liked that pic and thought it maybe an alright choice.

Freddie spencer replica factory paint scheme... I liked that one when it came out too.

or perhaps a take on the Erion racing 929?

    Whaddya think?

    I see the 4 pictures changed to 5. You're getting more confused:rotfl:

I really like the Freddie Spencer look, but if you're going custom you might as well do something that no one has, like the silver and blue Spencer. What about a Castrol theme, or RC51 look. What about Rothmans?

the VFR Anny paint, no doubt.

Love that paint on a VFR. Plenty of area for pearl white on it too.

    ..a different freddie spencer theme

the Rothmans theme you have is already a factory spec, so I would agree with Heavy dee to separate from the masses....

RC45 but replace the white for black. I don't like white on a bike, specially I don't like white rims.

Your own custom MCADX theme ...

me too, it could be "updated" a bit with thinner or more angular to emote "motion" better, even incorporate the front pointy bits on that viffer with the way the red comes forward.

I doubt you will see any of these paint schemes at your local bike night...

Use different colors, maybe Addicts logo instead of Seven Stars...

Keep in mind that all paint schemes won't work with every bike due to the way the plastics line up and the holes in the farings.

Sigh.. what is up with retro? Maybe it's just me, but I'm not into 80's and 90's schemes and colors. I'm not sure what 7 stars are, but that combo is pretty cool on that bike.

Seven Stars sponsored the factory Honda Endurance team back in the day, i think. This bike was their Suzuka 8 hr. endurance racer. Yes, very cool!

Pearl white is very smart, and if you fancy a change later on , you can always put a 'go faster' sticker set on there:thumb:

Ok, sorry it took me so long to get back to this...

I love the 7 stars bike, but I HATE black bikes... SO not my thing. sorry, that one is out.

Castrol is an interesting one for sure.

I do love the older racing schemes(sorry scott) and the thought of redoing one of the rothmans or spencer bikes does apeal to me for sure. APE-X I like what you're thinking on that one, simple and lots of room for a pearl white there, Scott would that one line up ok?

I also keep coming back to the RC30 scheme as it's simple yet REALLY nice. and it's not much to get the rims done in white(LOVE that)

Really this isn't making me choose at all... lmao.

The problem with the older bikes is the amount of plastic on the rear end. Plus the big hole in the side of the middle faring. I can do whatever you want, in fact there isn't anything hard about doinging that scheme, but try to picture what the lines on the newer bike would look like. There would be a big hole in the lines in the side, and just a sold color in the back. Also remember the whole front is the windscreen so the red would have to start around the handgrip. Would that be ok?
