Have you had it dyno'd yet?

My last run was when I got the bike custom mapped for the Sato Slip on, BMC Race Filters, and PCIII. It was 160 then. Up from 142 stock. The Sato slip on with a good custom map is by far the best bang for the buck when it comes to slip ons. The Arata box style is second, averaging a 14 hp increase when custom mapped. The lower end slip ons are still only seeing a best increase of around 5-7 hp when mapped correctly.

Since I last posted, I have installed the HRC Japanese Superbike Spec ECU and put a zero map in the PCIII until I can get it re-mapped. The bike currently revs incredibly quick, and does pull til it pegs the tach (Not suggested on a stock top end, but I had to try it once) I cannot wait to get back on the dyno again. This thing is just insane! (albeit quite rich in areas right now)

    You got 14hp out of a slip-on???

No, I got 18. The Arata's are only getting 14.

It is hard to believe, I know. The guys on 1000rr.net were very skeptical too. Many went with the Sato and a custom map and got the same results though. Sato really did their homework on this one IMHO.

On the day I got the bike custom mapped, I got 11 hp just from the mapping alone. I had 149 with the Sato, the BMC Race Filters, and a PCIII running Dan Kyle's map. With the custom map I got 160.

yes, I have seen those, but I do not like them at all. The wheels I am going with are new, not the older ones that were so heavy.

ok I gotta ask what are the guys with Sato full systems getting?
I know on my 929 it got a big increase before any mapping (don't have any numbers) then I got 6hp with the custom map.

3 to 5 more. Honda made a really good stock header on this bike. I am doing the header portion when I do the HRC Power Up kits 1 and 2 to mine with the head work.
