No, only minor modifications were required for it to fit and the Ohlins shock is adjustable for length to make up the difference in rim diameter.

Needs some paint, but I still haven't decided on a colour.

I've got a Maxton ride height adjuster, and last year I got an Ohlins length adjustable shock. I have an RC45 rear wheel on the bike now, so I already have a 17" wheel. I was thinking if the Ducati wheels are more readily available, it might be a good option for mounting up trackday rubber instead of using my "street" wheels.

Rhubarb, are you in the US?
I'm curious about the process of bringing a street bike overseas.

There's a couple of RC30 sites out there.. evl_twin is involved with one, if I recall. I bet the few remaining intact ones are passed from enthusiast to enthusiast.

The original rim is 18" and the tires available are limited.

I'm in Canada and importing bikes older than 15 years is easy. I've heard that it can be quite difficult to bring any vehicle overseas to the US. Good luck.

The worldwide total production was just under 5000.

As I understand it, the best way it to:
    1. buy bike
    2. disassemble bike
    3. ship parts to US (e.g. used bike parts)
    4. reassemble bike
    5. title as a homebuilt
At least that was the suggestion to me some years back when I was considering importing a cool RVF400 from the UK.

I don't know the ramifications of importing to Canada, title there, then "move" to the US with it. It would take a trustworthy friend ;)

Back on topic, very cool bike and I hope to have one one of these days :thumb:

Damn - Switzerland and France got way more than the US did, and Canada got well screwed.
