I laughed....but my only saving grace in my younger days was a couple of good mentors, and a lack of a digicam and forums...

There's wisdom in the post along the lines "we all started somewhere".

yeah but my god at least clean it up and make it look like it wasn't slapped on there by Billy Joe Bob somewhere in the Appalachians. then again that could be the guys name anyway but I didn't realize they could afford a motorsickle.

A buddy of mine started out building shit like that for his Bronco, and also nearly cut his damn hand off for his troubles. Myself and a couple other buddies dutifully laughed, harassed and offered help and suggestions. We also stayed way the hell away from his rig!

A few years later it was on the cover of Four Wheeler and the feature article talked about the cleanliness of the fab work, which he now makes a bit of cash on the side doing for others and working on a Baja 1000 team. He has also built stuff for some of us haters.

    Just sayin...

    Gorgeous welds.

You gotta admit the guy has a 'can do attitude'.

He does need to do a little research on header design and gas dynamics at some point, though...
