    Interesting side note - I was scanning the list of best-ever lap times at the Nurburgring a day or so ago, and noticed that an RC30 holds the all-time Race record for bikes. The race records stopped being recorded in '94, but you can see that that nearly 20-year-old time still compares very favorably to newer, larger-displacement bikes.

    The bike stats are about 3/4 of the way down the page.

    Thanks. I'll have to read those when I get time.

    As another side note in On-Bike TT2 the local Kawasaki team explains that the run a RC30 because it is the best there. I don't remember the year but think that was the later 90's ... when newer bikes were already out.
