Looks great, how did they keep it in such good condition ?.

Not sure that it should have original fluids from new 20 years down the line ? ?

I'd need to ride one to determine if I'd choose it over the 30.

Well, I don't know about all that... I just try not to drop it.
  16. gt702 Oh the memories

I'd have a real problem with a bike like that. I'm in the camp of using it as it was intended, but then there is a part of me that considers the preserving what is already preserved part. I'm guessing that would last about as long as the next sunny day (which in Michigan can be a while) before I revert to though 1 and put it on the road/track.

500 miles and original oil..if I had $30k to blow it'd be a Grattan in a heartbeat, and Deals Gap after that.

Yeah, wazzup with that? Guess they missed the xxxx miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first part of oil changing 101. Brake fluid is probably original, too, looks kinda dark.

I don't think Deal's gap is the most ideal place around for the '30. As geared, it tops out about 80 mph in first, and you'd be slipping the clutch frequently in those tight turns. Besides that' there's too much traffic and too many police. It goes pretty well at Grattan, though, or anywhere there is a bit more in the way of open sweepers and fewer bad drivers.

Brake fluid shelf life, change out every 2 years max (without riding it).
