VFR wheels are a pain to clean

Pleasing to the eye but cleaning is a PITA.

    That is all.

I've all but given up on keeping the busa rims clean. It does not matter what chain lube I use it ends up on the rims.

    Only if you do it.

Chain lube is expected. The rear wheel especially seems to collect far more road grime than those of other bikes that I've owned. Maybe it's just more prominent because the VFR's wheels are silver and not black. :dunno:

I remember how much of a pain my 97 GSX-R 600's WHITE wheels were...

On that note the Single sided swingarm doesn't help I don't think. Cleaning the back side of a rear VFR rim is HORRIBLE...

Yeah, those 4 lugnuts and not having to align a chain make it a miserable chore... :poke:

    Unless you don't do it.

Has to be something with SSSA's, the GS rear wheel forms some type of suction and pulls dirt onto it, it's weird...

    That's why I don't do it.

Quit yer cryin'. ;) I had to clean the Honda Davidson's wheels after a spur of the moment 300 mile trip I took on Saturday through rain on dirt backroads. You want to talk about a bitch to clean.:p

    They're clean now though...:D

Both sets of wheels I had for the 929 were a PITA to clean. The white ones showed everything and the polished/red ones had to be spotless to get the full effect. That said, every time I cleaned them, I longed for the VFRs smaller front discs and the SSSA with a high mount can. Just take the rear off and hose it down with a brush...

I haven't washed the VFR wheels since June, and they're still nice and clean.

Anyone want to know my trick? I'll give you a hint, it involves not leaving the garage. :(

I wish my garage was big enough to ride my bike in.

If your garage is big enough not to duck when you go in or out, it's big enough.

My thoughts...I'm just gonna collect bugs anyway, so why clean it?
  17. taglicious yep... that's what I thought

not a bitch to clean... a bitch when you are cleaning and you have your fingers in betwixt the spokes when it reaches the brake caliper = DAMN
