This is not safe to watch if your house is burning down, it's that awesome. Very well shot, too. The dialog is Swedish, the bikes are reportedly going right into glass cases.

Awesome indeed!!! Im curious to know the reason to uncrated them now. Why not just leave them in that corner for another 20 yrs... The old dude must of had a boner and decided to do the interview on the bike...

Why leave them in the crate for the first 20?

I'm guessing he just acquired them from one of those cursed collectors who just squirrels things away - but I don't speak Swedish. This well-made vid is getting hit hard and linked globally; that's what I call a pretty good marketing investment. Surely his is now the most famous shop in Sweden :dunno:

 and who could blame him?

Note the placement of the camera angle, strategically putting the rear view mirror in a place to hide...what?

    English sub-titles would be nice.

Semi-related....I know there is one RC30 still in the original crate here in Hoosierland...

    Holy shit!

Pause it at :49 and check out the serial number on the RC30 crate.
  13. luvtolean Moderator

    Wow, missed that.

Saw the #4 on the NR.

I had to pause at :48 to be able to read it but, wow. Could you put a value on that? A million? More?
  15. evl_twn CAN CRUSHER

A million? Not hardly. That's the first serial number for that region's VIN, for 1989. 1988 was the first year so it's not like it's the first one ever released to the public.

I don't think that NR is worth a mil.
Nevertheless, it adds a little more cachet to that '30 - the vin# matches the odometer.

Mine is Canadian issue#16 - Freddie Spencer's AMA SB '30 was Canadian #12, but he got ALL the good bits Honda had to offer.

Not sure I'd be spraying them down with a hose, more of a Honda Polish guy myself...

I was thinking the same thing. some compressed air to get any dust from under the covered bits and then some Honda Polish and they'd be good to go. That RC is just gorgeous, I don't like twin round headlights except on that bike.

Someone on the RC30 board said the same thing. I'd sure want to float the dust and grit off before I started rubbing on the clearcoat. Also, the painters used a whole lot of water in the process of finishing the plastic - why would that be bad?
  20. luvtolean Moderator

Because the water runs off onto aluminum and corrodes it when it pools in crevices...

I'd "probably" have washed them myself though.
