there better be a lot more done to that than changing a couple of bearings and putting suspension and exhaust on cause its not worth 10k+ the way they have it listed.

"Engine just re-built at Ducshop with new 1198 main roller crank bearings and race rod bearings"
I'm pretty sure this means they did the full-up blueprint/balance rebuild.

The suspension and the provenance would definitely make that price worthwhile for a Team Starbucks rider. It's only a few grand more than a garden variety 848 used...

I forget, what sized tshirt did you want? ;)

Whether it's 'worth it' or not - At that price it will go fast.

Agree it's the wrong color, but a quick strip-down/repaint would take care of that.

Uhh, that video was kinda lame. I actually don't understand why you'd get an 848 and then install a 1040 kit, why not get a 1098/1198.

The price on the bike isn't unreasonable for what it is and as CBRVFR noted the provenance that comes with it. There is a couple grand in the suspension and another couple in the engine upgrades which help track reliability. That said I've seen 848's in that price range that have some very nice upgrades and still include all the street equipment.

Sorry you found the video lame. Perhaps you should try watching it with bigger speakers?

I do too...but it's just the effects of the GI bug that my family has had this week. I haven't felt great all weekend but the full brunt hit me this morning. Luckily it held off since I had a six hr test yesterday.

It baffles me that the RC45 commands so much more than the RC30. Any special reason?

They were produced in much more limited quantities.
