Yosh shock linkage

Anyone with any information on how well the Yosh progressive shock linkage works on the 05/6 I'm interested in knowing. My bike is set up for solo seat only (doesn't have rear pegs anymore and will likely go lightweight S/F) so I have no need for two-up riding.

Is it worth considering the Yosh linkage for hard street riding with track riding a strong second?

Is the Yosh linkage progressive, or is it linear, doing away with the progressive or "rising rate" stock linkage?

Most stock linkages are extremely progressive to handle a wide range of loads and conditions without bottoming constantly. In racing you choose your spring and set your preload correctly, and you want a more linear rate. Typically anyway.

It's much *more* linear. But still has some progressive rising rate.

What do you have on the '05 superbike? You could get the Yosh and if you don't like it, migrate it over.

I have found the people there to be very helpful and accurate, call 'em up.

OK, just making sure we're talking about the same thing.

Most people I know that have made the switch to a more linear linkage really liked it. I didn't do a before and after, but I had an RC51 with the HRC linkage design, and it was great.

I worked with a race team campaigning an 03 GSXR1000 and the Yosh linkage was one of the first parts we sourced.

If you haven't considered it already, be ready to include the expense of a new spring potentially as well.

As long as you're not going to be carrying passengers, I'd definitely recommend it.

I can't say for sure how much I liked the HRC linkage on my 929 because I put it on at the same time as the Ohlins shock. but overall I was very pleased with the package.

Very good point, thanks for giving me that thought. The AM bike has the stock linkage. And it needs a new spring now. :) Surprisingly, I didn't check the 08 but then it's been too cold here for me to really get much time with it.

I can always trust motorcycle addicts to spend my money... lol
